I have worked with people who were proclaimed atheists. If you don't know God, then pray and have faith in my faith. It does make a difference! After being diagnosed with cancer, people often find themselves making decisions about their health treatments out of fear. Make sure you do what you feel best about and what most works for you. If other alternative methods seem to fit your situation better, use them. If I suggest something I've done and you are not comfortable with it, don't do it. For instance, I believe chemotherapy kills, but if you believe with all your heart that it is what will heal you, then do it. I cannot emphasize enough that you must feel good about the way you choose to proceed. By the same token, if your health care provider suggests something that you are uncomfortable with, don't do it. This is your body and your health. No one knows what your body needs more than you. You will need to stop, be still, and become calm enough to listen, to understand what your body needs. Become informed, seek out your options, then make choices based on knowledge and the peaceful feeling you receive when you know what is right for you. I am not herein dispensing medical advice. I am just telling you what I have done and what treatments others have told me that have worked for them. I have found a few books to be helpful in learning to take charge of your thoughts, feelings and emotions. (See Recommended Reading.) Last of all, you may need to consider that this is your time to leave this life and your energies may be best used in Preparing to die and finding peace with your loved ones. "If you think you can or if you think you can't, you're right!"
